Nowadays we're all
comfortable to watch movies on the run, on the bus, even on the rest room (you well
know who you are) and we don't share that experience, fortunately in some
cases. No-one is ever pilloried for watching a DVD or Blu-ray by themselves are
they? So why should it the case in a huge hall specifically made for the
viewing of movies? Yes, my TV is relatively large, but not big that I must sit
at the least 100ft away, and it cannot show me movies which have only been
launched.
To tell the reality,
you are never alone when it comes to movies. There's a good relationship that
exists between you and the medium itself. Movies are made to be watched. Some
demand a response, some wash over you, Horrific and many other things.
In case you do not
have to be involved about how the other person you are with is reacting. If
they may be feeling uncomfortable – as my partner did throughout Sin Metropolis
– you may be distracted by worrying all about their response. By the end of the
move she even stated to me "I assume you'd have loved that greater move
just by your own", not being absolutely a fan of cartoonish characters
having their dangly bits pulled off. There are movies that'll work for quite a
few, but not for others.
Finally, there's no
compromise when you head to the St
Augustine Amphitheater by yourself. You get to watch the film you need, in the
seat that you wish to see it. There's no disturbance (if all would want to
plan), and alternatively it is arguably the purest approach of watching any
kind of movie these days. It's you, the screen, and nothing else to worry about
(once more, if all goes well) for a few hours.
